Peace To All, As my Muslim brothers and sisters and all others who engage in dialogue with me may already know, we Muslims are currently celebrating the month of Ramadan. I would like to take the time out to wish everyone, not only the Muslims who follow the Holy Quran, but to all who submit to God via all the Prophets and Messengers sent to them who also prescribed fasting as a prescription to ward off evil, we say in the Arabic language, Ramadan Kareem (Happy Ramadan). Ramadan is the month Allah prescribed for the Muslims to fast and read the entire Quran during this blessed time. The term "Ramadan" actually derives from the three letter root "rmd" which signifies "heat". Ramadan means "to burn away". As Muslims, the symbolic meaning of fasting during Ramadan is to burn away the evil and negative characteristics through fasting, reading Quran and God-consciousness. It is also the month when the Qu'ran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (when the crescent and new moon appeared). This year, Ramadan will last from August 11-September 10, 2010 (a total of 30 days). The reason why we as Muslims are instructed to fast for a period of 30 days is because when Jesus was in the world, he was the way, the truth, and the light of the world. So when he passed the world went back into darkness and the word of God was sold for 30 pieces of silver. So Allah revealed the Quran as mercy, and guidance and it was divided into 30 sections so it could be memorized by man and never again would the word of God be sold or lost. It is the lack of DISCIPLINE that causes us to deviate from the law of God. Those who will not fast will find it very difficult to overcome the gravitational pull of evil. Denying yourself that which is natural helps strengthen you against that which is unnatural. The restrictive laws of God is the friend of the righteous and the enemy of the unrighteous. The restrictive law promotes life, peace and harmony of which the righteous seek constantly. The enemies of peace and harmony will not accept God's remedy and thus forfeit the blessings that come with being in submission to God. For those like myself who are members of the NOI (Nation Of Islam), we are blessed to be able to experience Ramadan twice a year; we look forward to applying our discipline again in December, the month the NOI specifically prescribed for the Blackman and Woman in America. Hey... count me in... In my baptist christain faith... we practice fasting as well... It's done in private.... We fast/pray and meditate on our higher power...

Hello to All,
Please let me explain the significance that God mandated the ritual celebration of Ramadan for the Arab people only!
Initially, the Arabian people were pagan believers. They worshiped rocks and other earthly things as though these things were God. It took Prophet Mohammed 23 years to stop this practice of idolatry and replace idolatry with the religion of Islam. As the Arabian people converted to Islam, they were called Muslims. Prophet Mohammed invented the name Muslim to distinguish the converts from the pagans.
Ramadan is the equivalent of the Jewish people’s Passover. These celebrations are how the Arabians and Jewish people show their gratefulness to God for God help to them. During this ritual celebration for the Arabian people, they read the Holy Quran and fast in remembrance of how God brought them out of the darkness of paganism and into the light of Islam. Note that the pagan practice of the Arabian people had has nothing to do with the problems of Black Americans in White America. It is obvious that Black Americans are confused and extremely ignorant, am I right. The symbolic gesture of burning away the evil is the evil of practicing paganism.
For the Jewish people the Passover is showing gratefulness to God that God let them out the bondage and slavery called the Exodus.
Two different people with two different problems, am I right, which has nothing to do with Black Americans. Black Americans has our own specific problems. However, what is important is that the Arabian people are grateful to God that God helped in their darkest hour.
Likewise, the day is coming that God through me will give Black Americans a ritual celebration as well. We then will show our gratefulness to God of helping us out of slavery and subjugation in White America and into sovereignty on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to worship God, pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.
Obviously, since Black Americans are not Arabian people those of us that celebrate Ramadan are because we are very ignorant people and do not know any better. Black Americans do not understand yet that they cannot have what belongs to another people. Am I making any sense with you all?
I am the way, and besides me, there is no other way that Black Americans could ever become a real people in this world!
Now, I challenge anyone to show that I do not make sense and that I lied!

Messenger Elijah Muhammad further urges his people (the Blackman and Blackwoman in America) who are mostly Christian, to take the Fast of Ramadan that HE AND ALLAH HAS PRESCRIBED with the Muslims, His followers, who do it in December!
Messenger Muhammad had a specific job given to him by Allah and He (Messenger Muhammad) prescribed the month of December for the Blackman and Blackwoman here in North America as a prescription to accelerate our healing. That prescription is still in effect.
In addition to us fasting during the period that the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, We encourage all to observe the prescribed month of December in the manner that Messenger Muhammad prescribed. We can also exercise unity with the rest of the Muslim world and observe Ramadan in that hour, but December is not optional, it is prescribed for us.
Doesn't an excerpt from the Muhammad Speaks newspaper on "WHY AND HOW WE FAST IN DECEMBER" read as follows:
"We fast the 12th month of the Christian year to relieve ourselves of having once worshipped that month as the month in which Jesus was born. It is now known and agreed upon by the scholars and scientists of religion that nothing of the kind took place 2,000 years ago. Jesus was born, not in the month of December , but rather -- as God has revealed it and according to the season that history claims existed in that time -- the first or second week in September.
The Christians have made holidays which are used mostly for commercialization. They buy wine, whiskey and beer and fatten up pigs and hogs for the kill and roast this divinely-prohibited flesh to celebrate what the Christians call the birthday of the Son of Mary. Jesus condemned such things as drunkenness and the eating of swine flesh.
The act that they carry on for the celebration of Jesus' birth is perfect for Nimrod, who actually was born on the 25th of December, according to the scientists and historians, as well as the words of God, Himself, spoken to me.
Nimrod was an enemy of God and one who came in the last 300 years of the 2,000 years of Moses. He led the white man against the laws of Moses and worship Allah. He (Nimrod) wanted them to worship idols and that which was other than God (as they did in ancient Rome)."

Hello to All,
I said that Ramadan is a specific ritual celebration for the Arabian people only. Ramadan to the Arabian people is the equivalent of what the Passover is to the Jewish people.
Black America’s specific ritual celebration is forthcoming. These celebrations are how a specific race of people praises and remember God present in their dreadful days.
When a people has done all that they could do humanly possible to help themselves, but to no avail is when they cry out to God for help. Usually this crying out will come from one among them that is destined to be chosen by God.
For instance, Abraham cried out to God against his people’s practice of paganism. Prophet Mohammed cried out to God against the Arabians people practice of paganism. Prophet Moses cried out to God against his people’s bondage and slavery in Egypt.
Now, if you notice I am the only one that has been crying out to God that Black Americans become a sovereign people on the portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders. Am I making any sense with you all? Are you all connecting the dots?
So, as I said before Black America’s specific ritual celebration that God will give us through many will be our way of thanking God for helping us out of White America’s domination and subjugation of us for over 500 years.
