Just after releasing his latest album alongside his group Dirty Money — which moved more than 101,000 units during it's first week in stores and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart — Diddy appears on the new "Tron"-inspired February/March 2011 cover of The Source alongside the simple but commanding headline, "Sean 'Diddy' Combs on Power." In the article, among other things, he talks about America's leader.
"I love the president like most of us," he said. "I just want the president to do better. There's a difference between us voting for somebody and us believing in somebody."
For the accompanying article, the Bad Boy CEO invited Source managing editor Reggie "Combat Jack" Osse along for a ride on his yacht during a trip to St. Barts (because, really, where else would a guy like Diddy choose to hold an interview?!) to discuss his role as a hip-hop mogul, what it takes to succeed and the term "Black Power."
But, most interestingly, the self-proclaimed "Ciroc Obama" continued to share his thoughts on U.S. President Barack Obama, who Diddy personally stumped for during his presidential campaign back in 2008.
"He's the person that we believed in so I pray night and day that he understands how God ordained his presidency," he said. "I feel there was a promise made to God to look after people that was less fortunate and [many] of those people are African-American."
